National Breathe Free Donation Provides 1,800 Nights of Shelter and Renewed Hope for Tampa Bay Families
Phoenix, Arizona – National Breathe Free announced today that during its annual Family Reunion held May 14–15, 2026, the organization contributed $175,000 to Metropolitan Ministries. This investment will deliver approximately 1,800 nights of safe emergency shelter for families facing homelessness and crisis in the Tampa Bay area.
National Breathe Free’s annual Family Reunion brings together physicians, practice leaders, and healthcare professionals from across the country to collaborate, learn, and support the communities they serve. Reflecting that commitment, this contribution goes far beyond financial support—it directly fuels stability for families navigating housing insecurity, domestic challenges, job loss, and other hardships.
Through Metropolitan Ministries’ housing programs, including Hope & Uplift Hall, Miracles for Pasco, and Baldwin Family Residence, families receive emergency shelter paired with comprehensive support such as case management, employment assistance, counseling, and clear pathways to long-term self-sufficiency.
“Breathe Free has always believed that caring for communities extends far beyond the walls of our clinics. Supporting Metropolitan Ministries and the incredible work they do for families in need is deeply aligned with who we are as an organization. We’re honored to play even a small role in helping provide stability, hope, and shelter for those facing difficult circumstances.”
— Taylor Borane, CEO, National Breathe Free
“At National Breathe Free, we believe strong communities are built through compassion, service, and leadership. Metropolitan Ministries is making a meaningful impact in the lives of families every single day, and we’re proud to support an organization creating real change where it matters most.”
— Matt Ghanem, Chairman of the Board, National Breathe Free
This contribution reflects National Breathe Free’s broader commitment to strengthening the communities it serves across the country. As a healthcare organization dedicated to improving quality of life, National Breathe Free recognizes that access to stability, support systems, and safe housing plays a vital role in building healthier and more resilient communities.
The partnership with Metropolitan Ministries underscores the organization’s belief that meaningful community impact is achieved through both clinical excellence and compassionate stewardship. By investing in organizations that address critical community needs, National Breathe Free continues its mission of helping people thrive both inside and outside the healthcare setting.
