Our Culture: Ethics & Integrity—The Standard Across National Breathe Free
Our compliance program and compliant culture shapes how we operate – supporting physicians, strengthening teams, and building trust through consistent ethical standards.

Our Standards: Code of Conduct & Core Values
A MESSAGE FROM OUR FOUNDER AND CHAIRMAN:
As a national network of ENT clinics serving thousands of patients each year, every member of our organization—whether engaged in direct patient care or in essential support functions—plays a vital role in defining who we are and how we serve our patients. Our collective actions reflect not only our professional identity but also the trust placed in us by the communities we serve.
We are each accountable for upholding the highest standards of integrity, honesty, and compliance. This responsibility extends beyond adherence to the letter of the law; it encompasses honoring the very principles and spirit upon which those laws were established.
Our Code of Conduct forms the foundation of this commitment. These standards, policies, and rules are designed to embed our Core Values into every aspect of our work. They guide our decisions, safeguard our patients, and strengthen the culture of respect and accountability that defines our organization.
By dedicating ourselves to these responsibilities, we reinforce trust within our teams, across our partner clinics, and with the patients and families who entrust us with their ENT care.
Thank you for your continued commitment to excellence and for helping us fulfill our vision: to be the recognized leader in the ENT community.
Sincerely,
Matt Ghanem, Founder/Chairman
What our Code of Conduct covers
Our expectations include, but are not limited to:
- Patient-first care and safety grounded in ethical, evidence-based medicine
- Privacy and confidentiality, including protection of patient health information (PHI)
- A respectful workplace, free from harassment, discrimination, or retaliation
- Professional boundaries and ethical behavior in all interactions
- Conflicts of interest and transparency around outside relationships
- Vendor and referral interactions, including appropriate handling of gifts or incentives
- Accurate documentation and billing practices
- Truthful, responsible marketing and communications
- Secure and appropriate use of systems, data, and technology
- A speak-up culture, where concerns can be raised in good faith without fear of retaliation
We set clear expectations, reinforce them through onboarding and leadership, and take concerns seriously. By incorporating the above, we protect our patients, our clinical partners, and our employees.
Our Code of Conduct reflects our Vision, Mission, and Core Values. It also sets expectations for how we operate across the network.
These Core Values guide professional behavior, decision-making, and accountability at every level.
Values in Action

Physician-Led
We believe physicians should lead clinical decision-making. Our structure supports autonomy, thoughtful collaboration, and respect for clinical judgment.

Accountability
We hold ourselves accountable to clear standards, responsible decision-making, and follow-through in everything we do.

Collaboration
We work across teams and specialties to support shared goals, open communication, and consistent execution.

Integrity
We operate with honesty, transparency, and ethical responsibility in all professional relationships.

Continuous Improvement
We are committed to learning, refinement, and improving how we support teams and operations over time.

Respect for People
We treat patients, physicians, and teammates with respect, professionalism, and care.
Physician-Led Care, Professionally Supported
National Breathe Free was co-founded by a physician and an experienced healthcare operator. Our clinics are led by physicians, with operational partners supporting the systems that make great care easier to deliver—so clinical decisions stay in the hands of clinicians, backed by the resources teams need to thrive.

Behind the Scenes
In every clinic, you’ll find a team that takes pride in doing the small things well—supporting each other, mentoring new staff, and working together to make each visit run smoothly. We believe how we work behind the scenes shows up in the exam room: in the time we take, the clarity we provide, and the care we deliver.
